How to send audio message to a friend on Slack?

1. Under the Event section, choose the Scheduler by Quickwork app from the drop-down menu in the Apps list present right below the New Trigger button.
   
2. Select the trigger event, New scheduled event, from the drop-down menu in the Triggers list.
3. Set the Interval as per your choice based on how often you want to run the journey.
4. Set the date and time of your choice in the Start at field and keep the Custom payload field empty:
   
   

Configuring Google Text-to-Speech action

1. Under the Steps section, click on the Simple Action button and then choose the Google Text-to-Speech app from the drop-down menu in the Apps list.
2. Select the Text synthesize action from the drop-down menu in the Actions list.
3. Click the Link an account button to authorize your Google account. You can select an existing connection if you have one.
4. Upon successful connection establishment, input fields will open up for you.
5. In the Text input field, specify the text that you want to get converted into audio. E.g., Hello, how are you?
6. Select the audio language of your choice from the Language drop-down field.
7. Similarly, select the gender for the audio:
   
   

Configuring Slack action

1. Click the Add a step button (+ icon), click  Simple Action, and then select Slack app from the drop-down menu in the Apps field.
2. Select the Send message to a user action from the drop-down menu in the Actions field.
3. Click the Link an account button to authorize your Slack account. You can select an existing connection if you have one.
4. Upon successful connection establishment, input fields will open up for you.
5. In the Username input field, select the name of a user to whom you want to send the voice message.
6. As an input to the Message field, pass the Url data pill from Data Tree Output of Google Text-to-Speech: Text synthesize:
   
   
   
   
7. Selecting Yes in the Send the message as a user or a bot? field sends a message to your friend/colleague on behalf of you and not as a bot. If this field is kept empty, no message will be sent:
   
   

Executing the journey

Save the changes in a journey and click the Save & Start button. Now, go to your Slack account and navigate to the chat window of the user that you have mentioned in the Slack action:

You can now clearly hear the audio of your text message.
