This article explains the meaning of a crucial error related to the If Condition and the simple action step(s) associated with it. Without rectifying this error, Quickwork won't allow the journey execution.
What you'll need:
Skill level: Easy
Time required: 3 minutes
- Logical sense to identify the structure of If Condition
- Skills to drag and drop appropriate action steps beneath the If Condition
Let us consider an example journey where the If Condition has no action step(s). The journey has Scheduler as a trigger:
In the above journey, the If Condition is configured in the Steps section with no action steps.
Note: The If Condition comes with a by default pre-intended action step to perform the logical operation in the journey. In this case, the intended action step is deleted intentionally to explain the flaw and its consequences.
Now, when you click the Start journey button, an error will pop up on your journey configuration window:
The error emphasizes that there is no simple action associated with the If Condition. The same error prompts even if you simply add a simple action just below the If Condition and try executing the journey. The reason is that the simple action introduced here is not yet part of If Condition.
To get executed successfully, a simple action has to be intended within the If Condition. Refer to the following image:
To indent, simply drag the simple action bar and drop it below the IF Condition by moving the cursor slightly towards the right-hand side. Your If Condition is now ready to execute properly.
Note: At least one simple action has to be the part of IF Condition else the logical sense of the If Condition will get compromised resulting in the error.
